Grammy Nominations for Latinos
A list of nominations for the 43rd Annual Grammy Awards (2001) that had Latino artists or Latin American Music.

There are no big surprises in the Grammy Awards for Latinos and Latin American Music. Pop Divas Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez got their nominations. Christina Aguilera got one for her English album and one for her Spanish album. Gospel sensation Jaci Velasquez has been nominated for Crystal Clear. Marc Anthony and Ricky Martin both got a nomination each, in the category of Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.

Well, there was one surprise. When Oscar De La Hoya turned from boxer to musician, people weren't exactly expecting him to take the industry by storm. For his very first album, he received a nomination for Best Latin Pop Album.

The work of arranger and conductor, Vincent Mendoza, recieved four nominations two categories. Three for Best Instrumental Arrangement and one for Best Pop Instrumental Performance.
