Estévanico (c.1503 - 1539)
Biography of Estévanico, also known as Stephen the Moor, the first African born slave to enter Texas and help push forth exploration in Texas and the southwest. He was among the first men of any color from the Eastern Hemisphere to explore much of the US Southwest in the worst conditions.
